Packaging robots in the new warehouse of the Ocado store move along a special aluminum frame - which acts as a warehouse and simultaneously rails. Thousands of robots can process 65,000 orders every week. They communicate on a 4G network, programmed and controlled by the AutoStore Controller system.

 

One of the main advantages of the Autostore system is economy. Robots do not need light, air conditioning or space heating. The power of one robot is 100 watts - for comparison, the power of a home toaster is 600-1000 watts. Robots themselves analyze themselves with the help of their "nervous system", self-recharge and report technical problems.
