Russia's veterinary watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has announced that it has lifted the restrictions on the imports of beef from Colombia.
The Russian authorities announced that starting from February 15, 2019, they will once again allow the following types of supplies from the Colombian enterprise Red Carnica:
- boneless beef, derived from animals originating from all of Colombia, with the exception of the departments of Cesar, Boyaca and La Guahira;
- beef by-products subjected to heat treatment, ensuring the destruction of the foot-and-mouth disease virus, in accordance with the recommendations set out by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE).
